The VP of Sales has primary responsibility for increasing the overall revenue base and driving sales. The VP will also be responsible for creating and developing on-going profitable relationships with clients, senior executives/owners and purchasing executives (IT Directors) of Financial Services industry corporations. The goal is to build the client-base with new customers for their software product/service lines as well as company’s consulting services for new and current clients. 

The VP will be responsible for sales, contract negotiation and pricing (in consultation with the CEO). As such, the VP will be working as an individual contributor in building business with new and current clients. In addition to the sales role, the VP will also oversee the sales operations, working with the CEO and operations team to ensure that they are delivering a high quality product. The VP will be responsible for strategic sales planning and building a high performing sales organization from scratch.

Develop sales plans and strategies to support organizational objectives.
Determine market strategies and goals.
Direct, implement, and execute sales policies and practices.
Build, develop and manage sales team to carry out and meet company profit and growth objectives.
Manage multiple channel selling strategies.
Research and develop lists of potential business.
Develop and deliver sales presentations and close business.
Participate in sales forecasting and planning.
Integrate selling into established corporate product line.

Only candidates with Enterprise software sales management experience to customers in the Financial Services (banks, brokerages, insurance, etc.) industry will be considered.

Minimum 5 years leading, directing and managing national software sales to Financial Services companies. Prefer experience in education services or technology solutions in a multi product environment with long sales cycles.
Fortune 1000 company sales experience
Must have a documented history of exceeding sales goals in B2B sales leadership.
Demonstrated organizational planning, reinventing and problem solving skills.
BS/BA Degree in business or equivalent education and experience, MBA preferred.
