System Integration Engineer 

Description:

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining a test automation environment for Our Company’s packet switching technology. In this role you will work closely with software engineers and assist them with the integration of new test cases. Candidates should be able to provide direction on how to build the environment for scalability and maintenance. Your objective is to validate features prior hand off to product quality assurance group.

Duties:

·         Maintain framework for automated testing

·         Write Python scripts to setup external equipment

·         Defines test cases to exercise the various features of the product

·         Document and track defects

·         Run regression tests

Qualifications:

·         5+ years experience in telecom or networking industry

·         Knowledge and experience of Layer 2 networking protocols

·         Solid experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL

·         Experience with Spirent or Ixia test equipment is a plus

·         Test automation experience an asset

–       Programming languages:
  – Python, Perl, C/C++
  – Experience writing automation scripts

Protocols:
  – L2/L3 Switching, TCP/IP
  – 802.1Q, 802.1AD, 802.1ah, 802.1ag
