The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, detailing, and implementing automated equipment, which improves the manufacturing process. This person will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams that justify and develop automation opportunities in the manufacturing process.  This position will require semi-automation in various areas of the connectorization process such as epoxy dispenses, curing and polishing.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum seven to ten years working as an Automation Engineer developing automated manufacturing equipment.
Ability to work with either AutoCAD (Mechanical desk top) or Pro Engineering.
Working knowledge of Visual Basic, Oracle, or C++
Working knowledge of industrial controller programming
Proven track record of implementing automation in a manufacturing environment
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in fiber optic manufacturing is desirable
